In addition to delivering your pictures using a link and sending it via Whatsapp, e-mail, Facebook, etc., PicDrop also offers you the option to send a pre-formulated e-mail with all important data directly to your customers.
PicDrop gives a general text by default, which fits every situation, and can be easily personalized. Now you can customize this text and save different templates for different scenarios.
Within Account Settings, select “Your Sharing Template “, then select “Create new template” to get started!
Here you will see the standard text in an editor. You can customize the e-mail as you like and save it as a template. In addition to the name of the template, the e-mail itself is divided into 4 sections:
- Greeting and introduction message
- Details of the gallery password
- Details of the PIN
- The conclusion of the email and farewell
You can edit sections 1 and 4 freely and release some creativity. It is important that you do not forget to insert the placeholder for the gallery link. All placeholders are already included in your template. However, you may use them again in any part of the e-mail by simply using the “Insert placeholder” function. Please make sure the placeholders for the “password” and the “PIN” are in the respective sections 2 and 3.
In addition, you are also able to edit sections 2 and 3. However, it is important to note, these sections are only inserted into your e-mail when the respective function is active within the gallery that is to be sent.
For example, the sentence “The password is “password123.” is only inserted if a gallery password is active in the settings. This ensures that you will never forget to send the password for a gallery. PicDrop will remind you of this! The same applies to the PIN that allows you to switch to the edit view. Therefore, there is no point in placing these details within sections 1 or 4. Just keep them separate and leave the rest to PicDrop!
You can create as many templates as you want! You can review all the templates that you’ve created when sharing your gallery. All you need to do is select “Send Email” and choose the appropriate template:
